BD-J
Our Blu-ray Solution can provide BD-J middleware and “SuperJ Engine" that is a Java runtime environment
by combining of Hitachisoft"s Java technology as well as BD-J core technology.
The BD-J middleware features as follows.
* Only BD-J middleware is also available, because the BD-J does not depend on platforms.
(1) High speed performance
Speed-up technology for Java runtime environment
It is necessary for the customers to pass standard index which is shown in the BD-J guideline. Hitachisoft has experience and expertise in developing embedded Java software.
Hitachisoft"s speed-up technologies (SH, ARM, MIPS) by utilizing dynamic compiler (Hot Spot) can achieve required performances of BD-J on an embedded CPU (approx. 400MHz).
(2) High reliability based on an extensive experience
- The BD-J has beed developed based on GEM provided by Osmosys S.A.
(3) Prompt porting
- Architecture that does not depend on a platform is achievable because of PIL (Platform Independent Layer).
- Porting is possible only by implementation of PIL appropriately.
This will reduce development period dramatically
(4) Support
- Prompt support when problems occur
- Performance assessment and consulting for BD-J
- Contact for the license fee payment
